enligh-TEN-ed

Holy moly!!  Jayson woke up another month older today.   Ten whole months.  Not to sound all cliche on you, but I am not quite sure where the time has gone.  I find myself scrolling through the photos I've taken over the last month to remind myself of all the changes that have occurred.  The memory isn't what it used to be (post-pregnancy brain).  I am so glad for technology so I can capture all his little moments.  Maybe one day I'll even print out each of these little updates and make a scrap book.  Ok, maybe not... that sounds a little over ambitious.  Without further ado, this is what the little stinker has accomplished to date:

Weight & Height - as of his 2/10/14 appointment he was about 18.5lbs and 29 inches long which put him in the 50th percentile for his weight and noggin but 85th percentile for height.  Here's hoping he'll have some height unlike his father and I.  I did notice this past week I had to up his walker to it's final adjustment, so he must be even taller than his last doctor's appointment (and he certainly feels heavier).

Eating - he's trying a little bit of everything these days.  He loves bits of grilled cheese, pieces of pancake and french toast, peas, and anything else you can break into little bits on his tray.  He would still eat yogurt 3x a day if you let him.  We can get him to drink apple-juice from a juice box (he uses straws like a pro now).  He has taken an interest in hand feeding his snack items to the dog as well, so our hot-dog Riley is becoming more of a sausage now than he's ever been.

Sleeping - we are getting close to a full night's sleep.  He'll go down anywhere from 8pm to 8:30pm and on a good night he'll sleep to 5:30/6:00am.  However we still have random nights where he's up at 2am or 4am for a feeding or diaper change.  We see this more frequently when he's not feeling 100%.

Clothing - he's still ok in his 9 month outfits (they're a little snug in the shoulders and some of the pants aren't quite long enough), but he's been wearing mostly 12 months items.  Some of the sleeves are a little long yet, but he has a bit more wiggle room which is good for our little mover.  For one piece pajamas he's in 12 months and some of those are getting a little snug lengthwise.

New This Month - We have one tooth!  He ran a fever of 101.4 for two days and when the fever broke, there it was.  He tests everything out on it now, as if he wasn't mouthing/drooling enough.  He's begun pivoting around the room (a more creative way of crawling I guess.)  Acting like he's playing bumper cars in his walker... thank goodness we didn't redo our kitchen cabinets yet.  He's really good at shaking his head "no" and knowing what it means.  He's been babbling more than ever, most of which we can't understand a word of.  He says "mama" like it's his J-O-B.  He signs daddy, but has yet to say it consistently.  I think he calls Riley "E."  He loves splashing in the tub and more recently he rolls over in it and the arms and legs get going like he's swimming.  Just today he starting walking with his push cart.
