Gender Reveal

This past weekend Justin, Jayson and I had the pleasure of being invited to a Gender Reveal Party.  Having never been to one of these sorts of parties before we weren't quite sure what to expect.  If you have never been to one as well, do a search on Pinterest and you will find tons of neat gender reveal ideas.  This couple are the King and Queen of Cute, so it was no surprise that they planned an official Gender Reveal Party.  Skip back on over to my "A Much Needed Weekend" post and you will see how they announced that they were expecting.  As I said, the King and Queen of Cute.

They had an area set up in their living room with a board full of wives tales and what each predicted.  They had cards with each of our names on them for us cast our guess into a Boy or Girl gift bag. They also had their selected names for the baby, should it be one gender or the other.  Whomever won the guess would go home with a bottle of wine or a bottle of bourbon.  Guests were also asked to wear their color of choice (blue or pink).  Lastly, they had adorable cupcakes made up with one filled with either pink/blue depending on what the ultrasound photo revealed.

When the time came to eat the cupcakes we all found out that our friends Paul and Cait were expecting a little boy, Evan Thomas. I also got to take home a very nice bottle of bourbon.  Hey, what can I say?  I'm always right.  Just ask my husband.
